LTI Hosting Grant Funding Webinar for Forestry & Natural Resources Professionals

Join Laser Technology Inc., (LTI) to learn how to leverage grants and alternative funding opportunities in the Forestry and Natural Resource industries. Tune in on Thursday, May 14, 2015 10:00 AM MDT to hear tips about where opportunities arise and how to be creative in leveraging the funds. This LTI webinar will cover who, what, when, and how regarding available funding opportunities, including how to determine whether your project meets specific eligibility requirements. In addition, all eligible webinar attendees will receive a 1.0 hour, Category 2, Society of American Foresters Continuing Forestry Education credit for grant writing skills.

LTI's Forestry and Natural Resources Funding Opportunities webinar will be co-hosted by Kassie Carly, LTI Product Solutions Manager and Tim Reader, Colorado State Forest Service Utilization & Marketing Forester. Kassie and Tim will share their experiences and expertise about where to look for grants and funding, how to apply, and ways to make your application stronger. The webinar will also cover key terms, such as the difference between a soft match and a hard match.

Tim Reader, who holds a Master's degree in Forestry, a Bachelor's Degree in Wood Science and Technology, has been with the Colorado State Forest Service for 13 years.

Before working at LTI, Kassie co-managed a forestry company for eight years, specializing in seeking and applying for funding opportunities. Kassie sought out and was awarded $2 million in funds for ForestWise, development communities, agencies, and private landowners.
