by SLassiter 4. August 2017 14:12

Over 18,000 GIS professionals attended ESRI UC 2017 this year in San Diego, CA on July 10th through 14th. Visitors of the conference had the opportunity to participate in over 450 hours of training and visit over 325 exhibitors.

We would like to thank everyone that stopped by our booth at the ESRI UC 2017 this year. We enjoyed the opportunity to speak with so many GIS professionals about LTI products and solutions and felt the conference was a great success all around.

Laser Technology's MapSmart on Android was featured at Esri UC 2017

Conference Highlights:

  • TruPulse laser series: The 360 model is still the most popular handheld laser rangefinder for GPS/GNSS laser offset mapping
  • TruPoint 300: The most compact and affordable total station in the market
  • MapSmart on Android: A simplified mapping solution that integrates with high-grade GPS/GNSS receivers and can export data in an ArcGIS-ready format.
  • TruPoint 200h: The only hybrid measurement technology in the world that combines a laser rangefinder and laser distance meter all in one device. Available soon!

ESRI promoted their data collection app called Collector. It has been reported that the next revision most likely will integrate with LTI's TruPulse mapping laser. For those of you that are interested in making sure that happens sooner than later, please post your comments on ESRI's forum.

We had a great turnout for our conference presentation, titled, "Mobile Mapping Simplified with Android and GNSS" and had successful media coverage throughout the show. Our senior product manager, Derrick Reish of the Professional Measurement Division, completed several interviews highlighting our products describing the functionality and benefits of our MapSmart on Android app.
