LTI TruSense T-Series Traffic Sensors Take Measurements in Melbourne

Laser Technology Australia is currently working with VicRoads and has installed several sets of LTI's TruSense® T-series traffic sensors at a new baseline testing site on M80 Ring Road in Melbourne. Five dual traffic laser systems are mounted onto a gantry and looking straight down to cover the traffic flow for each lane. The non-intrusive TruSense T-series are scanning vehicles 24 hours a day and calculating precise vehicle speed, height, length, headway and occupancy data in real-time. Police in Slovenia Use TruCAM to Enforce Safe Distance Between Vehicles

Slovenian news outlets report that their police force is now heavily equipped with Laser Technology's all-in-one handheld laser-based video and photo camera, the TruCAM®. Aside from being the most sophisticated speed enforcement tool available, LTI has patented technology that measures the time and distance between vehicles for tailgating violations. Laser Technology with the advent of TruCam, has since 2009, joined with NHTSA and the law enforcement community to warn drivers about the dangers of distracted driving. I'm reasonably sure most of us have seen a car driving erratically; weaving side to side, slowing and speeding up, completely sure it’s a drunk driver. When you’re finally able to pass you look over to discover the driver is bobbing their head up and down while texting! This is highly disturbing. More...

Montenegro Police Department Acquire TruCAM Laser Speed Guns

Laser Technology (LTI) dealer, SKY Technologies doo, delivered 14 TruCAM laser speed guns to the Montenegro Police Department at the end of 2013 as part of a campaign to help officers better enforce the speed limit on the roads and increase traffic safety in their country. This campaign came about after a realization that a majority of the traffic accidents and deaths on the roads were due to speeding and that assistance was needed to enhance the control of the police officers out in the field. Using the TruCAM will help law enforcement provide safer roads and save lives in Montenegro.

Connecticut Police Work to Stop Tailgating

Aggressive driving habits are an issue on every highway; affecting the safety of innocent drivers throughout the nation. Connecticut State Police started a campaign March 1, 2014 to combat these aggressive driving behaviors. The goal of this anti-aggressive driving campaign is to improve overall highway safety in Connecticut and will run through March 31, 2014. The most enforceable aggressive driving behavior is "tailgating" or "following too closely," referring to not allowing a safe distance, per your speed, between your car and the car ahead of you.
