L & W Engineering Equipment, Ltd., a dealer for Laser Technology, participated in the “Police Caravan”, a public awareness initiative done by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service which moves from district to district sensitizing the public of the activities of the police service. The Acting Police Commissioner was on-site at the Caravan's program and had a hands-on session / demonstration of the TruCAM with Monique of L&W.

The TruCAM and TruSpeed S were recently used in a testing for speed enforcement in Trinidad. These laser speed guns by Laser Technology proved invaluable by providing proof of multiple speeding violations along with an excessive number of tailgating violations during the study. The Police Service’s Community Caravan 2012 was launched on June 29, with this year’s theme being, ‘Creating a New Generation of Productive Citizens.’ In regards to the program, Snr Supt (Community Relations Secretariat) Sharon Blake Clarke states “It’s important for the police to partner with communities. It is by working together we will be able to stop crime and criminal activity from taking place in the community. We live in the communities; we have friends, families and children in the communities. We all must work together”.
