Ashtech Reliance Setup

1. From the Generic Point logging screen, press OFST (F3) to access the Feature Offset screen.
2. Press CONN (F2) to connect to the laser system and take a shot. You should see the data come through into the appropriate fields. You will remain connected to the laser until you power off the Reliance.
3. Now press RETN to get back to the Generic Point logging screen. You may save the point just taken or press SHIFT_CNCL (^_F4) to cancel. This will save a single offset position from this GPS point.
4. To log several laser offset positions from a single GPS point, press the BEGM (F1) key to begin multiple point collection.
5. Simply take as many laser shots as you wish from this location.
6. Once completed, press ENDM to end lasers shots and logging of this GPS position.

All of the above parameters will be saved in memory when you shut down the individual devices. If you lose communication at any time, go through this check list again to make sure all settings are correct, battery power is sufficient and that all cables are connected properly.
