Laser Technology and American Forests co-host webinar on Measuring Tree Height
Laser Technology, Inc. (LTI) and American Forests invite you to watch the final installment in a three-part webinar series which they co-hosted to note the changes to American Forests' guidelines for the National Big Tree Program. American Forests restores and protects urban and rural forests and was founded in 1875, making it the oldest national nonprofit conservation organization in the country. LTI's tools are used by scientists, forest ecologists, and timber cruisers all over the world. Based in Centennial, CO, LTI is the manufacturer of the most popular line of laser rangefinders, the TruPulse series.
The final installment on tree height was very informative as Robert T. Leverett Co-founder and Executive Director of the Native Tree Society taught attendees the most effective techniques to accurately measure the heights of trees. Leverett spoke about the best tool for each method, whether it is the stick, tangent or sine method for measuring tree height.
