Highway2Enforcement Conference 2014

Join Laser Technology (LTI) at the Highway2Enforcement Conference on May 21 - 23 at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. Last year was first year for the conference which focuses on the issue of impaired driving and had over 200 law enforcement professionals in attendance. Law Enforcement Training (LETS) and Inservice Credits will be offered at the conference along with an Exposition for attendees to see the latest in products and services.

LTI will showcase such products as the new speed and mapping measurement laser - the TruSpeed Sxb with Bluetooth® and provide hands-on demonstrations of our traffic safety products.

To help continue awareness for the fight against distracted driving, Laser Technology, Inc., (LTI) and the National Sheriffs Association (NSA) are teaming up to host a webinar titled "Combating Distracted Driving: Implementing Policies and Procedures." The webcast is geared to Sheriff Offices, encouraging them to launch or intensify distracted driving enforcement to help reduce the amount of fatal crashes. LTI and NHTSA Urge Cinco de Mayo Celebrators to Designate a Driver

Laser Technology, Inc. (LTI), joins the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in a push for prevention of drunk driving over the Cinco de Mayo holiday. In 2012, according to NHTSA, seventy-one percent of the drunk drivers involved in fatal crashes on Cinco de Mayo had blood alcohol content levels of .15 g/dL or more. That is almost twice the legal limit. Although the holiday is relatively minor in most parts of Mexico and even ignored by many Mexican states, millions of Mexican Americans and supporters of the culture in the US continue to celebrate it today. LTI TruSense T-Series Traffic Sensors Take Measurements in Melbourne

Laser Technology Australia is currently working with VicRoads and has installed several sets of LTI's TruSense® T-series traffic sensors at a new baseline testing site on M80 Ring Road in Melbourne. Five dual traffic laser systems are mounted onto a gantry and looking straight down to cover the traffic flow for each lane. The non-intrusive TruSense T-series are scanning vehicles 24 hours a day and calculating precise vehicle speed, height, length, headway and occupancy data in real-time. The raw measurement values can also be used to report profile data for vehicle classification. More...
